Business Manager

 

My Ministry:    As Business Manager, I’m responsible for the business functions of the church.  Those responsibilities include all accounting and budgeting functions, maintenance of giving records, staffing, employee benefits, business insurance, management of office and building and grounds department, management and/or oversight of various projects. I’m a non-voting member of Finance committee and currently the chair of Building and Grounds committee.  Yep, I wear a lot of hats.

My education:  I attended Wheaton College and finished at Carthage College with a double major in Accounting and Business Administration.  I followed up the degrees by becoming a licensed CPA.

My family:  My family is my treasure and I’m blessed to be the mom of three children and Nana of two grandsons  – daughters Christa (and her husband Dave), Alyssa (and her husband Benjamin and their boys Noah and Warren), and son Scott.  Also looking forward to reuniting in heaven with my husband Greg, who went on ahead of me in 2005.

My interests:  More than I have time for!  Those that I juggle include spending as much time as possible with my grandsons, leading a high school girls’ small group, music and singing on the worship team, reading anything and everything, good conversation, riding my bike and politics.
