Navajo Nation

Within the borders of the United States of America are 557 federally recognized Native American tribes. Each of these tribes claims the rights of a sovereign nation, with their own separate agendas and concerns. The legal ramifications of overlapping federal, state and tribal judicial systems create an incredibly complex bureaucracy. The Navajo, or Din’e, are the largest among the Native American groups, with a population of 214,198. CCC has an established ministry at Inscription House which is called the Ts’ah Biikin Community Church and is located in the Western Navajo district. This is roughly the western half of the Navajo Reservation.

Pray that…

  • God would raise up qualified and caring church leaders and pastors for ministry among the Navajo.
  • The incorporation of the Ts’ah Biikin Community Church would proceed smoothly through the Navajo Tribal Council.
  • The proposed new church building would become a reality.

Ministry Description:

As pastor of the Ts’ah Biikin Community Church, Leroy and Sue labor among the Navajo nation in northwest Arizona. Throughout their years of faithful ministry, the Nez family has seen growth in their congregation. Their work includes discipleship and training of believers as well as evangelism. For the upcoming year, the Nez’s will pursue new building construction, work with the church board more closely, build spiritual revival among the congregation and work with families that have multiple problems.
